Microsoft has maintained its silence on the anticipated folding Surface Phone for long, but, one of the company's employees accidentally confirmed it as a work-in-progress. While responding to a question on Zhihu, the Chinese equivalent of Quora, the engineer claimed that Cortana will have "perfect performance" on the Surface Phone.
The engineer, who works at Microsoft Asia Research Institute, was answering customers' woes about poor Cortana optimization on Android and iOS devices, owing to lack of permissions. The comment was, however, edited soon, adding uncertainty about the Surface Phone.
The engineer also acknowledged that Cortana has lagged behind other voice assistants, promising it would catch up soon.
