According to the Samsung's mobile chief Samsung will unveil it's next flagship in Feburary. So the wait is finally close to end for Samsung Lovers.
The company mobile chief DJ Koh confirmed the launch at CES of Samsung Galaxy S9 at Mobile World Congress (MWC). Koh didn't offer any specific date, but the MWC will run from Feb 26th to March 1st this year. So it is expected the Launch of Galaxy S9 in this time frame.
The S8 and it's bigger brother S8+ were the greatest hit with critics, This was the phone with great infinity display, a great camera with superb performance which makes the people to forget about the disaster Note 7 and the S9 is the successor of it and will be more powerful than S8.
Not much is known about the Galaxy S9 at this point, though we're not expecting any radical departure from the S8. A handful of leaked renders suggest it would look mostly like its predecessor S8 with a slight tweak moving the fingerprint sensor from the side of camera to below the camera. On S8 the fingerprint sensor were placed at a very awkward position of off to one side.
However, the S9 and S9+ won't be all Samsung fans have to look forward to this year. Speaking to ZDNet, Koh also reiterated that the company is working on foldable phones plans to be launched in this year and also told what "foldable" means in terms of functionality isn't clear, but smartphones with curved screens have been obsession of Samsung's for more than half a decade. So for, it's given us the bizarre Galaxy Round but also the successful wraparound screens of the S7 Edge onward. Let's see what's next Samsung is going to plan for the future.
